A self-leveling white butyl rubber caulk in a standard 10 oz. tube, it fills the gap between the skylight flange and the roof surface to prevent water infiltration. Per ICON Technologies, mechanical fastening with installation screws is also required — the sealant alone is not sufficient.

Run a thick bead of sealant around the skylight opening. Place the skylight in position. Install screws through the flange into the roof — do not overtighten. Run a second bead around the edge of the flange, looping the bead up over each screw head to fully seal the fastener penetrations.
